Snejanka Peak

In the heart of the Bulgarian Rhodope mountains, at the distance of 260 km. to the south - east of Sofia, 85 km. to the south of Plovdiv and at the distance of 15 km. of Smolyan, is located one of the most beautiful and magnificent Bulgarian peaks - Snejanka. With its 1926 meters it is the highest in the Pamporovo resort. The sunny days here are more than 240 and the climate is soft. The average annual temperature is 8,5 C, and the thickness of the snow is about 140 – 150 meters. There are a lot of ski – runs, which are very enticing for the lovers of the winter sports. There are a few chair – lifts at the Snejanka’s slopes. Also the tourist can use and the ski – drags.

In the summer Snejanka peak will welcome you with sunny sky, amazing slopes with wide herbs and flowers, fresh air and fragrance of pine. The average summer temperature is about 18 C – perfect place for refreshment in the hot summer days.
Pamporovo is a modern ski resort in the heart of the Rhodope mountains, home of the mythical singer Orpheus. It is situated at 1650 m above the sea level at the foot of peak Snejanka (1926 m), 240 km southeast of Sofia and 85 km south of Plovdiv.
The ski runs of Pamporovo come in all difficulty levels. Most of them start from the top of peak Snejanka. The climate is mild and with great Mediterranean influence. The average annual temperature is 8,5 C, while the snow cover is 140-150 cm. The altitude of the resort is 1,650 m.
